SMT AHILYABAI RAMANI PRATISHTHAN

The Annual Workshop for children was held for two days on Saturday and Sunday 21st and 22nd November 2009 at Wadi in Pratishthan premises.

Noted dancer from Mumbai, Mrs Ranjana Phadke trained 36 girls between ages of 10 and 15 for three consecutive days and gave them lessons in 3 different types of dances.

The response was so overwhelming that the children have requested Mrs. Phadke to come again and hold a workshop for at least 10 days.

Mr Ghaisas from BARC demonstrated several scientific experiments to the children but the main attraction was making a telescope from the material provided by the Pratishthan.

A batch from each school prepared one telescope which was then donated to their school to watch the sky.

The moment of delight of the week was the visit of two poets – Maharashtra Bhushan Shri Mangesh Padgaonkar and Padmashree Madhu Mangesh Karnik to the Pratishthan.
