COURSE DETAILS
There is no course fee but candidate has to arrange his own lodging and boarding
Candidates need to fulfill the following requirements :
1. Must have passed post graduate qualification degree
2. Must have at least 2 years orientation in spinal surgery
Basic knowledge and clinical practice in spinal surgery is essential
The period of training varies
depending on the calibre of the candidate from 2 weeks to 6 months
The course includes :
lectures and clinics;
attending out-patient departments;
live operative demonstrations;
hands-on cadavers;
video sessions;
microsurgery training;
reviewed of literature;
use of library
writing log book
Candidate is given a certificate of training |
One or two candidates at a time are accepted for training
Prospective candidates are kept on the waiting list and called for training on a date fixed in advance
A candidate from the state of Goa, India is selected every year and is offered a scholarship to come to Mumbai to get training in Spinal Surgery.
