Dr Paul M Lin Oration at Temple University, PA, USA

Dr P S Ramani was invited by the Neurosurgery Department of Temple University in Philadelphia (one of the two major universities in Pennsylvania) to deliver Oration in their Annual Conference. The Oration was named after one of their Peers Dr Paul M Lin.

The Oration lasting one hour was well attended by over two hundred delegates from all over the world. It was delivered by Dr P S Ramani on the 9th May 2008.

The Oration becomes all the more important because the most advance country had invited someone from the developing country.

2008, March
International Annual Conference of Bangladesh Neurosurgical Society

Dr P S Ramani was invited to participate in the International Annual Conference of Bangladesh Neurosurgical Society from 29th Feb till 2nd March 2008.
On 29th he did live operative show and operated 4 cases much to the delight of 130 participating delegates. Next day he gave four lectures.
He was virtually hounded by Bangladesh young doctors, compelling him to hold a teaching session for them in the end.

Second Edition of 'Sattariche Bol'

The book written by Dr Ramani on his 70th Birthday (Sattariche Bol and Life of Purpose) became so popular that the first edition was sold out within one month. The second edition was released on 9th February by the hands of Shri Arun Sadhu - immediate Past President of Marathi Sahitya Academy, Shri Kishor Ragnekar , Chairman – Saraswat Bank, Dinkar Gangal – the Founder President of Granthali Publications, Shri Ashok Hande – theatre personality of Marathi Bana fame and Ranjana Phadke – the noted dancer will blessed the occasion alongwith other guests.

2008, February 03
Mini Marathon held in Goa

A Mini Marathon race sponsored by Dr. P. S. Ramani and held under the aegis of Ahilyabai Ramani Pratishthan was held in Goa on Sunday 3rd February 2008. More than 500 people from all over Goa participated in the race. There were three types of races namely 15 km, 10 km and 6 km. An eventful part of the race was participation by the inmates of Sneh Mandir between the age of 60 to 89. 21 senior veterinarians participated in the race of 5 km specially arranged for them. Dr. P. S. Ramani himself ran the 15 km stretch.

2008, January 20
Dr Ramani runs in Mumbai Marathon
Dr. Ramani participated in the Mumbai Marathon and completed half Marathon (21 Kms stretch)
in 2 hrs and 40 mins.

2008, January 16-18
APSAS Conference, South Korea

Dr. P. S. Ramani went to Seoul, Korea to attend the APSAS (Asia Pacific Spine Arthroplasty Society 2008) conference as Guest Lecutrer and gave his lecture on Cervical Discoplasty. He has also been appointed as one of the Executive Committee Member of APSAS.
